Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix is an Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was aware that she was gifted to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix was second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for a professional career with Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. The youngest to win the 200-meter race during the World Championships held in Helsinki in the year 2005. She defended her title the following year, defeating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at the Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her events.
